General Manager - Finance

Location: Chennai

Job description

  • Work closely with the Senior Executive Leadership team. Continuously communicate, interact and engage with the top management. Give insights, guide, and actively take part in important management decisions.
  • Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Provide recommendations for both the short-term and long-term growth plans of the organization.
  • Control and evaluate organizations fundraising plans, capital restructuring, and working knowledge of raising capital beyond traditional lines of credit.
  • Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the organization's plan for growth and expansion.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division, and weekly cash flow and funds flow by division.
  • Develop, enhance and implement the required financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems in order to meet out the rapid developments and to protect the overall interest of the organization.
  • Review and ensure the application of appropriate internal controls, checks, audits, statutory compliance, and financial procedures.
  • Work closely with all departments and ensure that the department's legal compliances are very well met. On a day-to-day basis work jointly with the Head of HR and to ensure appropriate statutory and legal compliances are in place.
  • Must have regular interaction with the organization's Audit team and ensure that books of accounts are closed and audited without any issue.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge, keep an eye on the current developments, market trends, changes in the Governments decision making and its impact on the business environment, best audit and accounting practices, changes in tax structures, etc., Must communicate and educate the top management related to the changes, its implications and must work out and implement the road map for adapting to the change. Educate, train and retrain the finance team to cope with the changes in the statutory legal compliances and on the best practices to ensure perfect clarity in order to carry out their day-to-day work in full swing without any doubts and hesitations.
  • Must effectively work, plan and find out the sources for uninterrupted supply of working capital.
  • Must act as an ambassador and represent the management in the best possible manner to all stakeholders and agencies, especially with the Bankers, Investors, Financial Partners, Institutions, Auditors, Clients, Government officials, etc.,
  • Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.
  • Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.

Qualification:

  • Only qualified Chartered Accountant is expected to apply
  • Additional qualification ICWA, ACS preferable
  • Preference will be given to Chennai based candidate and who is willing to join immediately
  • 5 years minimum experience as a GM in a large organization
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in finance is a must
  • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IFRS, best audit and accounting practices, in-depth knowledge of different laws in the areas of Taxation, returns, filings, registration formalities, etc.,
  • Hands-on experience in IPO
  • Must have hands-on experience in systems implementation.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, spreadsheets, advanced excel including macros, etc., is required
  • Hands-On experience in ERP Systems, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc., is preferred
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, highest confidence, able to motivate team, good in training, and must be good at a team-building exercise
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills and must have a strategic vision
  • Significant experience with corporate governance, working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues is a must.
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, have a strong work ethic, and expert in cash management, financial accounting, and corporate finance competence
  • Must have worked in a Manufacturing industry at least for a period of 5+ years.

Area Sales Manager/Territory Manager

Location: Chennai, Hyderabad, Ernakulam, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad

Job description

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships. Must reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
  • Maintain cordial relationship with all key clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities, and informing the same to management.
  • Maintain the existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
  • Focuses sales and marketing efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers and planning the activities in the best interest of the organization.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrate products to customers.
  • Negotiate and use persuasion skills to overcome objections raised by customers.
  • Must keep the HOD informed by submitting activity reports, results reports, daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly, territory analysis, etc.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Must be actively involved in research and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the organization’s marketing goals.
  • Must have an eye for details; stay current in the industry, must be good in implementing new sales plans and promotion activities
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Analyze the Territory market’s potential, track sales, and status report
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule and coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Based on the needs he must be in a position to recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

Qualification:

  • Degree is a must. MBA., B.E – Civil/Mechanical is preferable.
  • Glass Industry/ Glass processing/ Automotive/ Plywood/ Construction/ ACP/ Facade Industry experience is preferable.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing and sales is a must.
  • Pan India sales and marketing experience is a must.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, interpersonal, customer service, and knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
